In celebration of these two being the first couple of 2015 and celebrating their first anniversary just a few months ago, I figured it was only fitting that we start them off as the first couple to be featured on Wedding Wednesday here on the blog!

When I sat down with Melissa and Jason to discuss their upcoming wedding, one of the first things they shared was that they wanted to create an environment of love filled with their close family. Melissa and Jason had chosen to have a guest list filled with mainly family members to celebrate the exciting day. The two wanted the focus of the day to truly be on the joining of their two families (Melissa and her son with Jason). They chose simple, yet beautiful décor with hints of navy and peach to enhance the sweetly intimate atmosphere at Red Lily Vineyards.

We had been having wonderful weather in the weeks leading up to the wedding so we planned to hold the ceremony outside and bring the guests inside the sweet barn for dinner and dancing. Unfortunately, as we arrived to the venue on the day of, the clouds were rather dark. We chose to move things inside at the last minute, which saved the whole event as the rain began to pour a few minutes before the wedding. Being in the romantically lit cozy barn surrounded by their loving family made this wedding so memorable and sweet! An atmosphere of romance, love, and family that they envisioned for their day was exactly how everything turned out!

These two danced their first dance as husband and wife to Ed Sheeran’s love song “Thinking Out Loud.” I can’t help but smile every time I hear this song because I am reminded of this precious couple and their wedding day! These two were filled with so much excitement to finally be married, and the day was oozing with so much love.

Later last year they added a beautiful baby girl to their family and can’t imagine life before being a family of four <3
